More Film Poster Analysis

 UZAK:

The film has muted and unsaturated colours, leading me to believe that it is about something serious. The skyline of the scene also reminds me of a war ridden society. There's smoke in the air from factories and the industrial looking buildings aid to my theory of that the movie is about something serious due to it's undertones. The character is also completely dark. The colour black usually symbolises mourning or death so maybe they are in  mourning. The film is also described as a "masterpiece" which means that it could be an art house film. The audience would most likely be someone who can understand and appreciate art house films, like someone who has a good education.

I'M NOT SCARED:

The title is big and bold, making sure that it's the first thing that catches the audiences attention. The boy in the middle of the has a feared look, making his emotions contradict the title since he is clearly scared. He is peering down into the ditch with horror, perhaps there is something in the ditch that he is afraid of. I think that this is a horror/thriller since there is a sense of anticipation along with fear for what will happen to the boy. The audience for this film may be teenagers to adults since a lot of people enjoy horrors/thrillers.

SIN CITY:

The poster is filled with blacks, whites and greys, along with a bright and bold title in a bright shade of red. The red title contrasts against the black and white background and makes the name pop out for the audience. There are multiple characters on the poster, all with serious and stern expressions. They seemed to be captured in an image mid action, one character holding a prop of a cocked gun as if he is about to pull the trigger. Another holding another gun whilst he looks down sternly whilst aiming the gun downwards, perhaps about to shoot to the ground of someone on the ground? I think the audience for this movie is directed towards teenagers due to its rebellious name of "sin" and its spooky and edgy background.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:

The poster features 3 characters, likely the 3 main characters. Two of the look relatively normal however one of them is a pirate and is holding a prop. A cocked gun pointing up as he looks at the audience with a stern look, as if he was caught mid act. The woman has a direct shine of light on her face, maybe symbolising her innocence. She's also wearing a white dress and white is usually associated with purity. The other man has a dedicated look on his face as he stares right into the audience. Perhaps he was also caught mid act whilst facing the pirate. I think that the target audience is probably children or families.

BRIDE AND PREJUDICE:

I think that is a romance film since the two main characters are faced back to back with their family stood behind them. They both seem to be very happy and the bright colours behind them also convey a happy and joyful tone behind the film. The movie reviews also describe it as "romantic" also further leading me to believe that it is a romance movie. I think that the audience is probably adults since most people under 18 aren't always interested in romance.

MILLION DOLLAR BABY:

The black and white background and the back shot of the woman projects a powerful and serious tone for the movie. You can see the way the light has been shone onto the woman emphasis on her back muscles, making her look powerful and strong. Since she is in the middle and is the main icon of focus I'm assuming she's a main character. I think that this films audience is probably someone who is into action. I think that this film would be appropriate for everyone all ages above 15.
