Conclave Film Review
Genuinely such a visually beautiful film to watch. Filled with hundreds of unique angles and many different motifs of character and emotion, the cinematography in the film portrayed emotions of suspense, fear, anger and many more through it’s complex and dramatic elements of camera angles. One significant aspect of the film which was the most memorable for me was the repeated motif of the colour red. As soon as the film is started a theme of a rich and bold shade of red is carried out throughout the film which not only builds up the enigma code for the audience but is also very visually appealing. The costumes used through the film were also extremely detailed and accurate to their appearance, overall making the visual aspects of the film a tenfold better. The music of the film also aided to the overall suspenseful and dramatic performance of the actors, creating an even more immersive atmosphere for the audience. The ending of the film was also very unique. Almost presented as a cliffhanger however the audience already knows most of what has caused the film to end but is still longing for more, yet the film ends abruptly mid scene, leaving the audience star struck and in shock. All this to say, a very suspenseful and dramatic film, filled with beautiful visual aspects and a fulfilling plot.
